What Will Your Story Be?
Women's Testimonials
21 Female, MI - Anxiety and Freedom
I came into coaching not really knowing what to expect and a little nervous. I was quickly put at ease by Matt's natural ability to steer the conversation. He helped me discern what I really wanted out of coaching, then guided me to create goals and practical steps to get there. Before coaching I struggled regularly with anxiety; Matt gave me the tools to be able to process calmly and efficiently without acting out of fear. I now feel more in control of my own thoughts and emotions than I ever have been before.
My biggest takeaway is confidence in my ability to say yes to living life the way God has planned and to say no to how fear and anxiety want me to respond. They exceeded my expectations in that I have grown in ways I did not necessarily expect to grow through conversation in coaching. I found the recap of what was talked about in coaching to be very helpful. I could look back over the different sessions and track where I was and where I was going. I now have a greater sense of freedom and control in my own thoughts. It was an enjoyable experience and helped me to see my struggles from a different and productive perspective. Ultimately Matt showed me that I was living so much of my life out of fear, and he opened to door to living life from truth and freedom.
I would highly highly recommend going to Matt if you have even the slightest bit of interest in coaching!
18 Elena, OH - Confidence and Self-Awareness
"Through coaching with Matthew I am able to make decisions with much more ease and confidence than before. I have been given the tools to better determine what/how I am feeling in more stressful moments! I would always feel very refreshed after having a coaching session with Matthew and I found the follow up email with the notes super helpful! It refreshed my mind about all that was talked about. I loved the challenge/homework because it 'forced' you to take a step to achieve your goals. It never failed that when I would put into practice/action what Matthew advised me to do there was always fruit that came from it! I am so grateful to have had him as my life coach! He helped me grow to be a better version of myself!"
18 Female - Anxiety and Faith Integration
"I came into life coaching very scared and anxious. I had to face a lot of fears and things I didn't want to talk about, but I was getting to a point where I couldn't function like I used to in everyday life.
My goals were to integrate my anxiousness with my faith, and to move forward in my life without anxiety taking control of my life.
There have been many times in my life where I've wanted help and guidance in my anxieties and confusion and I've mostly been told "You've got issues, figure them out." I came into life coaching with a lot of bad expectations, but Matt and Life Coaching blew away my expectations. Life coaching helped me and worked in me in so many ways that I can't entirely explain. Matt would ask me a lot of clarifying questions, which helped me add framework to my thoughts and help me understand what is reality and what is me overthinking and letting anxiety derail me.
I am now able to face life with more confidence and without anxiety taking over my life. Life Coaching also helped me integrate my faith with my anxiousness and has helped me with making the Lord the center of my life. I would most definitely recommend life coaching to anyone like me."
21 Female, MI - Scrupulosity and Confidence
“The sessions I had with Matt were some of the most helpful “talk about how I’m doing and get great advice” conversations I’ve had. I came in kinda skeptical if they would help at all because, to be honest, I thought I overthought too much to be helped. However, by the grace of God, I was able to talk as much as I needed (which helped a ton because I am an external processor) and on top of that receive some really good Spirit lead advice. He was able to make helpful and relevant connections between the things I talked about and received in prayer in the beginning of the sessions. He worked with me, asking me questions that helped me problem solve and get to a great conclusion instead of just telling me what to do. It helped me remember what I wanted to improve on, and I feel significantly better about my past relationship. I am more confident in myself and the decisions I make, and I feel different, which is wild to me. Instead of doing what I thought was discernment I’m more just living in the moment and walking through the doors God is opening. I highly recommend Matt to anyone who wants a fresh perspective in a Catholic light.”
21 Madeleine, TX - Self-Knowledge and Navigating Transition
"I would totally recommend Matt to others! I think it's rare to find someone with such a clear direction in his coaching - to help others live a virtuous life - and everything he does stems from that. Matt's mission is clear, but he allows the Lord to show him the way the person he's coaching needs to grow. He keeps what's important at the center (God), and then builds everything else around that, based on his knowledge of the psyche and human person.
He really helped me to understand myself and the root of a lot of my struggles. He gave me the tools and accountability I needed to overcome those struggles. It’s hard to say what didn’t change honestly. Mostly because his coaching helped me through such a huge transition in my life, and he helped me go from a very unstable time in my life to a stable time in my life.
I completed all of my goals, which surprised me because they were some big goals. I think what was really helpful was that Matt tailored my homework and goals to exactly what I was going through, which helped me reach my goals in the long run, even though in the moment they seemed to be separate achievements.
The prayer in the beginning of our meetings were always my favorite part because it always gave us such a good spring board for our discussion and put God at the center of everything we were talking about, which I usually needed that reminder.”
Anonymous - Discernment and Freedom
"Coaching has really opened my eyes to the beauty and freedom that there is in choice. Christ desires for us to be creative, and to look at our desires to find our deeper calling. Coaching with Matt has changed my outlook on making decisions, and multiple other things. I also pass on some of the advice to my loved ones. It was all very spirit led and I felt that the Lord was truly working through it all. Matt's homework was very helpful because you need to put these things into practice and homework helped to ground that. I would for sure recommend Matthew as a life coach, I already have."
22 Paige, WI - Comparison and Navigating Transition
"I would definitely recommend Matt to others as a life coach. Personally, I am not a big fan of talking about my issues; I find it uncomfortable and awkward to share a lot of the time. However, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and choosing to have Matt as a life coach was a good decision for me.
Originally when I signed up, I was struggling with transition and had some specific issues that I thought would be good to talk about. Soon into my first full session of life coaching though, our conversation ended up going a different direction and falling into the theme of comparison. Ultimately, this seems to be a trend in my life that I guess bleeds into many areas, including transitions. Matt was able to share some valuable advice about comparison and use different ideas to walk me through fighting this problem. This isn’t to say that everything is perfect now, but because we were able to talk about uncomfortable and sometimes awkward things, and Matt was able to see beyond the forefront concern of mine, growth was possible.
A significant effect of life coaching has been focusing on others more than myself and recognizing that the things that I struggle with, others have been there too. It is easy to get trapped in the lies that I am alone and no one cares if they don’t reach out first, but that simply isn’t true. Stepping out of that mindset and trying to seek others out is a huge way to combat this.
I think something that is different now is that I am more aware of comparison in areas of my friendships and actively think at times about putting myself in the place of the other person so that I can combat these comparisons. Matt has been insightful in different areas of my life where I am somewhat uncomfortable. Pushing into those places has opened up avenues for growth and I think that can lead me to be a better person. The fact that it was centered on our Catholic faith and Matt brought that into each session was so helpful, along with Matt’s availability and willingness to talk about things that aren’t always easy."
20 Jacinta, MN - Intentionality and Spiritual Formation
"Matt helped me transition out of a year serving with NET Ministries into a summer of ministry with Totus Tuus, into a second year with NET, all within four months. Coaching helped me process some of my first year while transitioning into and out of Totus Tuus. He really helped me realize how much of a tendency I have to check out of reality which will be very helpful in serving a second year with NET. I became more grounded in the present and more integrated with reality. I have tools and mindsets about how to face difficult situations or transitions in my life that keep me grounded in reality and focused on Christ. Matt gives his very best in every conversation and is fully present to you in everything you’re sharing, and he exceeded my expectations! There was some spiritual formation that I had not expected to receive throughout our conversations. The homework and having practical things to do to help the situations at hand were very helpful."
20 Female, CA - Navigating Transition and Relationships
"I LOVED life coaching. It was a 10/10 experience. I'm very satisfied because it helped me gain perspective and showed me how to deal with things internally and externally and gave me a more well-rounded view of myself. I wanted an outside perspective, to view my life as a missionary, and I got those things. The relational side, the spiritual side, the understanding. It was helpful because I often get caught up in my own little bubble of community and to have an understanding person on the outside who knows God is good to get you on a Holy path. Matt helped me in my times of transition but also in the already rooted relationships in my life (and new ones honestly!) He taught me how to step back and how to look at things from a holier standpoint and helped me to understand my own mind and heart better."
